Here is another one of my old posts from the previous blogs, the pricing may sound off because it is over a year old.
My favorite flip (besides cars) is Broken Cell phones:

I found this Blackberry Torch on craigslist with broken glass but the LCD worked. The seller was asking $80 for it and I sent a text offering $50. The seller responded and said yes, but she was in a remote town outside of the city. This would have been a 1 hour drive each way. I told her I was PayPal verified and asked if she would be able to ship it. She was comfortable with it being I was verified and she had used paypal before.
She told me it had a few accessories with it, little did I know she was going to send a Docking Cradle and a 4 Gig Memory card with the phone!ed if she could ship, she said she loves to buy stuff online and would not mind. I sent her $60 to cover my offer of $50 and some extra for shipping.
I purchased a Digitizer (the glass touchscreen) for $22 shipped on eBay.
This should sell for around $350 with the dock and memory card. I also unlocked it for T-Mobile or any other carrier (this gives me a larger target audience)
Paid: $60
Invested: $22
Total: $82
Fees and Profit:
Sold for: $350

You can find these deals all over craigslist, all you need is some YouTube how-to videos and a Torx Screwdriver set for disassembly!
You can also just flip the broken phone as-is and still make money. A broken torch like this would have gone for $150-200.
